NE Arts is a brand new company offering a unique community communications service to a wide range of organisations. NE Arts will bridge the communications gap which can occur between an organisation and the community in which it operates.

Our Business Philosophy

NE Arts

is a community communications consultancy. I will offer this service to Local authorities, NGO’s, charities, and business’s – any organisation that needs to communicate message to a particular community. I will operate in the Arts & Culture / Heritage / Urban regeneration / Capital project sectors.

The focus of the business will be to engage with community groups & community gate keepers to take advantage of their direct & indirect links into the wider community & thereby increase levels of community inclusion & participation in projects, campaigns or initiatives. The marketing strategy is to take simple key messages direct to the public at a time & place that suits them & values them as members of the community in the own right. It will supplement advertising /marketing & public meetings as part of a cohesive marketing communications strategy.

Newbiggin Arts Forum

NE Arts is a company which has evolved from the experience I have gained whilst setting up & then establishing & promoting a community arts group in Newbiggin-by-the-sea – www.newbigginartsforum.org Established in January 2006 we now have over 100 members in a small seaside community in Northumberland.

In doing so I have worked with the local district & county council, local schools, community groups & ngo’s. I have experience of arts & culture projects, urban regeneration and heritage projects. The success I have achieved has been in large part due to the methodology I have employed to increase social inclusion & awareness of the Arts Forum.

At the moment for any organisation trying to get a key message across to a community there is a communications gap between what the organisation wants the community to know and the information the community receives. This is due to the following reasons:-

*        Reliance on traditional marketing methods

*        Reliance on the community accessing the           information in a way that suits the organisation

*        Limited Capacity

*        Complexity of the message

The focus of our communications strategy will be to engage with community groups & community gate keepers to take advantage of their direct & indirect links into the wider community & thereby increase levels of community inclusion & participation in projects, campaigns or initiatives. The marketing strategy is to take simple key messages direct to the public at a time & place that suits them & values them as members of the community in the own right. It will supplement advertising / marketing & public meetings as part of a cohesive marketing communications strategy.
